We Are Family CDC core focus is to improve the quality of life for underserved families, individuals and youth through innovative and comprehensive mentoring, addressing hunger, and connecting to existing resources provided through our community partnership. Because of the COVID-19 Pandemic needs of our clients are even more intense.
With the help of community partnership and faithful volunteers, during the month of November we provided 26 agencies with 1300 food boxes for individuals and 428 households with food boxes, commodities, hand sanitizers, gloves, masks and disinfectants during our annual Thanksgiving Outreach. The total break down for households for recipients at the outreach was 758 adults, 682 children and youth, 153 senior citizens and 27 veterans totally 1,622 people within the households.

We Are Family Community Development Corporation (WAFCDC) is a non-profit organization incorporated May 13, 2010. August 12, 2014 received its 501©3 tax exmption status. WAFCDC aim to recreate and establish family values, moral, principles, and healthy social and domestic behaviors among family members in an effort to strengthen and empower communities in the Greater Memphis Area, as well as other under-served communities in Shelby County, by providing family with wrap-a-round services to help them cope with and/or overcome financial barriers that impacts low-income families such as, economic hardship, family conflict, no high-school diploma or GED, domestic violence, alcohol and drugs, child abuse, unlawful involvement with the law-enforcers, correction systems, or juvenile detention, teen-parenthood, and health disparities.
